FSU baseball is a top-eight seed and the No. 1 seed in the Tallahassee Regional. They're one of the most complete teams in college baseball, and the latest odds have them among the top 10 teams with the best odds to win their first National Title. FSU hasn't won a Natty in several sports, but baseball is the one where it feels long overdue. The Noles have been in position several times with some of the best teams in the last 40 years and found ways to not get it done. Baseball is a weird sport, and sometimes the best team doesn't win it all. They have a shot this year, which is amazing, considering they were so bad they couldn't play in the ACC Baseball Championships, much less make the postseason a year ago. Oddsmakers have the Noles at +1800 to win the National Title. If you bet $100 on the Noles, you'd win $1,800. Here's a list of the teams with the best odds:

  • Texas A&M: +500
  • Tennessee: +600
  • LSU: +900
  • Arkansas: +1000
  • Kentucky: +1000
  • Wake Forest: +1200
  • Clemson: +1300
  • Oregon State: +1500
  • North Carolina: +1500
  • Florida State: +1800

FSU must win its regional, then its Super Regional, before advancing to the College World Series. The Noles have one of the best offenses and defenses in college baseball. They were the last team to lose a game this season (19-0). How far they go will largely depend on their starting pitching and bullpen. The latter has been inconsistent, but FSU played much of the season without two of its better-starting pitchers, Cam Leiter and Connor Whittaker. The latter made a few appearances in relief over the past couple of weeks, and Leiter could return this weekend in a limited role. Can Link Jarrett finally bring that elusive title to Tallahassee? The road to the College World Series will start Friday at noon when the Noles host the No. 4 seed Stetson Hatters.
