FOUR-STAR OT ZIYARE ADDISON

Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has certainly transcended the Seminoles' offensive line unit during his tenure in Tallahassee. However, Atkins has not seen the fruits on his labor within the recruiting ranks pay off.

Other than Robert Scott Jr. (who was a recruit in the Class of 2020), the Seminoles have relied upon transfer portal options to fill the eight-man rotation while the younger pieces develop properly. However, in today's landscape of college football, patience is a bit thin where younger players could enter the transfer portal before their opportunity takes place.

Florida State could have three recruits pan out in the rotation for the 2024 season with Julian Armella, Jaylen Early, and Lucas Simmons. The Seminoles already have a talented piece that is pledged to the program in five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas.

One other offensive lineman prospect to monitor is four-star offensive tackle Ziyare Addison from Sumner High School in Riverview (FL). We at ChopChat conducted a Q&A with the talented prospect and he stated that Florida State was his first-ever offer and it meant a lot to him that Atkins offered him even when he was only 240 pounds.

Addison has consistently made trips to Tallahassee and views Florida State as one of his top schools.
