WR HYKEEM WILLIAMS

Florida State football has stayed relatively healthy in the spring. However, the Seminoles received some bad news that wide receiver Destyn Hill will be out for the remainder of the spring with an injury. The coaching staff certainly hope that the injury isn't significant.

Fast forward to the Spring Showcase on Saturday, Alabama transfer wide receiver Malik Benson has been the talk of the offseason as being a number one option. However, he injured his ankle in the spring game, and could be a long-term injury (Norvell did not specify the injury).

The wide receivers have dealt with inconsistencies that involve dropped passes. Veterans Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson are off to the NFL. They were both of the Seminoles' top-two pass catchers in 2023. Other than Benson, there needed to be more talented options in the room.

Fans thought that second-year player Hykeem Williams would step up in the position. Even though his body transformation has improved, Williams did not do anything to stand himself out. This need to be the moment that the former five-star prospect emerges as the guy or the coaching staff could explore options via the transfer portal at the position.
