Florida State has a veteran offensive line filled with talent. Offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has many pieces that he can turn to such as Robert Scott Jr., Maurice Smith, Darius Washington, Jeremiah Byers, Richie Leonard IV, and Keiondre Jones.

Speaking of Byers, he played at the right tackle position during the Spring Showcase. there were inconsistencies where you have liked to see him be more successful. While the Seminoles have a dominant defensive end pair of Patrick Payton and Marvin Jones Jr., the edge was in the backfield quite a bit with pressure.

Fans understand what Florida State has with do-it-all Darius Washington who has played all over the offensive line. Washington has been here in Tallahassee since the previous regime. The offensive line is having to play in a variety of positions with offensive tackle Robert Scott Jr. out for the remainder of the spring.

The former UTEP transfer in Byers had a solid 2023 campaign at right tackle. However, as a senior, fans need to see him blossom in his progression as a player.
