Florida State baseball headed into Tuesday afternoon, playing Bethune-Cookman in the friendly confines of Dick Howser Stadium. This seemed to be a warm-up game for the Seminoles as they came off a series sweep against Wake Forest.
This was an impressive showing by the Seminoles, as they look like one of the best teams in all of college baseball. However, fans know that they cannot get ahead of themselves, as losses to Auburn and Florida were learning lessons.
Nonetheless, Florida State continues its hot streak on the mound, as it defeated Bethune-Cookman by a score of 12-1 in a seven-inning victory. This wasn't saying that the Wildcats are one of the nation's elite, but it is nice to see the Seminoles continue to beat teams that they should.

Florida State's offense once again showed up as infielder Myles Bailey had himself a performance with his ninth home run of the year. If the Seminoles want to go deep in the postseason, Bailey will have to be a consistent bat.

What was even more impressive was that Florida State combined to have a no-hit performance on the mound. Throwback Tuesday was another success for the Seminoles, as the fans in Dick Howser Stadium left excited.
It became apparent early on that the Seminoles came to play, where they recorded seven runs in the first two innings. Left-handed pitcher Cooper Whited had himself a solid performance, where he went 3.1 innings with one walk and six strikeouts.
Lead-off hitter Brayden Dowd and catcher Nathan Cmeyla had themselves a multi-hit performance and gave the Seminoles' offense life.
The Seminoles will play conference opponent North Carolina State starting this Friday, March 20th, at Dick Howser Stadium, starting at 6 PM EST. This will be a great barometer for where the program is preparation-wise before they take on the arch-rival Florida Gators in Jacksonville on Tuesday, March 24th.
