Versatile Rushing Attack

Some media pundits tried to bag on the FSU running back room before the season started, like the Noles didn’t have a talented unit. It’s stacked with former blue-chip recruits, and Roydell Williams hasn’t played in the last two games.

The addition of transfer Gavin Sawchuk in the Spring Transfer Portal Window has been overlooked, but he’s arguably been the best running back through three games. However, they also have freshman Ousmane Kromah, Samuel Singleton, Jaylin Lucas, Kam Davis, and Thomas Castellanos.

They all have different styles, but all run with physicality(except the smaller Lucas, who’s more shifty), and Castellanos, who doesn’t need to take many hits. Singleton has shown home run-hitting ability with a couple of long touchdown runs in the last two games.

FSU can rotate these backs if they want and not see much dropoff, and all are adept at catching in the passing game. This depth has already come in handy with Williams missing the last two games, but it’ll be important as FSU plays more physical defenses.
