FSU RECRUITING CLASS
Florida State football ranks as the 15th-best recruiting class in the 2026 cycle, according to 247Sports Composite. The Seminoles have a solid haul thus far, but want to add more talent.
Florida State fans have seen the Seminoles get some bad news on the recruiting front lately, with four-star running back Amari Thomas backing off of his pledge, but it is still a good nucleus to build around.
The program has had its fair share of disappointments with defensive linemen. While I do believe that position coach Terrance Knighton is a solid recruiter, he has struck out on targets such as four-star Kamron Wilson, three-star Chris Addison, and three-star Katrell Webb.
With that said, he still has four defensive linemen in the class with four-star Tico Crittendon, four-star James Carrington, four-star Earnest Rankins, and three-star Wihtlley Cadeau. More targets will likely be added to the recruiting board.
Florida State offered Class of 2026 three-star defensive end target Gustaf Henriks Ras from Stockholm, Sweden, on Saturday morning.
After a great call with @Coach_Knighton I'm extremely excited and honored to receive my 12th Division 1 offer from @FSUFootball #FearTheSpear #GoNoles #NoleFamily #KeepCLIMBing @Coach_Norvell @FSUCoachTW @JaleelMcrae @FSUCoachJP @JustinCrouse7 @ChuckCantor @BCollierPPI… pic.twitter.com/R33CpOOGtd

I recently conducted a Q&A with the talented defender yesterday before the offer took place, this is what he had to say:
Q: You have been blowing up with offers from Georgia, Boise State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Texas A&M. What would it mean to you to get that offer from the Seminoles?
A: “Getting an offer from FSU would be huge. I remember when I started playing football and saw the war chant entrance for the first time, and it just stuck with me. Now, after talking to Coach Norvell, having a private workout and conversation with Coach McRae and Papuchis, and watching some episodes of The CLIMB, I feel like I’d fit in perfectly. A traditional team that values grit and effort. It would change my top options.”
Q: Since you are from Sweden, what attracted you to the game of football?
A: “I was mainly into ice hockey and soccer since that’s the biggest sports in Sweden. Almost like football and basketball in the States. But when we had summer workouts with the hockey team, we usually had some kind of rugby/football/wrestling competitions to learn contact and aggressiveness. That’s really what sparked the interest. Then later, I wanted to try something else since everything had been hockey for a long time, and I tried basketball for a year, then an old hockey friend took me to football practice, and then I just got hooked. Watched some college football videos on YouTube and just got hooked on the culture.”
Q: As a defensive end, what aspects of your game would you like to improve on next year?
A: “Since my natural strength as an edge rusher/outside linebacker is pass rush, I’ll work to get stronger on my biggest strength. But other than that, I’ll put some extra emphasis on pass coverage. Learning how to move as a defensive back as well as making myself as versatile as possible for when I enroll in spring. For the run game, I’ll focus on improving my hand placement, leverage, and how quickly I can read the offensive linemen.”
I hope that the offer to Florida State makes a huge difference with the pass rusher. He has informed me that he will be attending the Seminoles' season opener versus Alabama on August 30th.
