FSU football coaches look to take advantage of their hot start to the 2025 season by getting a jump start on their 2027 recruiting class. The 2026 class is nearly complete, with a select few targets remaining that the coaches will likely have to flip from other colleges.

The 2027 recruiting class already has four commits, and this is the class that could make a huge impact if FSU continues to win on the field in 2025. FSU coaches have offered 274 players in the 2027 class, and the last one should have a very familiar last name for Nole fans.

It’s three-star wide receiver Julian Cromartie, the son of Antonio Cromartie Sr. Cromartie started his high school career in California before transferring to Texas. He’s 6’2” and 180 pounds and ranks as the No. 580 player and No. 76 wide receiver nationally.

He played in six high school games as a sophomore and finished with 14 receptions for 276 yards and six touchdowns. He made First-Team All-League as a sophomore.

Cromartie saw his older brother, Antonio Cromartie Jr., enroll at FSU earlier this year and saw his first action against East Texas A&M as a freshman. His father, Antonio Cromartie Sr., likes what he sees in FSU thus far this season:

Julian Cromartie has excellent size for age and could be a player who blossoms as he continues to mature. He has an excellent pedigree and bloodlines. It's still extremely early in the process for 2027 recruiting and the rankings are nowhere close to accurate. This one could be one to keep an eye on as FSU looks to continue tapping into the Cromartie family tree to form a talent pipeline to Tallahassee.
