When the news broke that Nebraska defensive line coach Terrance Knighton would follow Tony White to FSU, nobody knew what that meant for longtime FSU defensive line coach Odell Haggins. The news broke on Thursday that Coach Haggins would transition to another role after 30+ years of coaching at FSU.

Coach Haggins is an FSU legend and FSU Hall of Famer with way too many accolades to mention. In short, you can't replace someone like Odell Haggins. He's a Nole down to the bone gristle and pulled one more rabbit out of his hat by helping to keep top 100 player Kevin Wynn in the 2025 recruiting class down the stretch.

However, if anyone was going to fill the defensive line position, Nebraska's Terrance Knighton would be on my shortlist. It's almost like he's a 20-year younger version of Coach Haggins.

He played in the NFL for several years before starting his coaching career. He started his coaching career at Wagner before going to the Carolina Panthers and returning to college for the past two years at Nebraska to help Tony White field back-to-back top-20 defenses.

Here are three major ways Terrance Knighton will impact the FSU defensive line.
