FSU baseball will look to make another run in 2025 at the elusive College World Series title that's eluded the program. FSU fell just short last year, losing to eventual champion Tennessee, but the season far exceeded expectations, considering how poorly Link Jarrett's tenure started in 2023.
FSU was the last undefeated team in 2024, dealt with a series of injuries on the mound but had one of the best offenses in college baseball.
Carson Dorsey's emergence and Jamie Arnold, as the ace of the pitching staff, married with the explosive offense, carried FSU to the College World Series for the first time since 2019.
FSU lost nearly half of its offensive production, but Link Jarrett added some interesting pieces from the transfer portal.
FSU returns some key bats from last year's lineup Max Williams, Alex Lodise, Drew Faurot, and Cal Fisher return. Jamie Arnold returns as arguably the best pitcher in college baseball, and Jarrett bolstered the bullpen with several quality arms from the transfer portal.
Jarrett commented recently that potentially has seven to eight arms who could start games. However, they settled on three left-handers to open the series against James Madison this weekend.
FSU will round out its weekend rotation with left-handers Joey Volini and Wes Mendes, Link Jarrett confirmed to me this morning on @SundayGolds

It's a drastically different team in many ways compared to last year. However, FSU is among the top 10 teams with the best odds to win the 2025 College World Series. Let's look at three major questions going into the season.
