The career of former FSU football quarterback Jameis Winston must be studied one day. The former Heisman Trophy and number one overall pick has stats that rival some of the best quarterbacks in NFL history through his first five years as a starter.
However, a trade and injuries have made him a backup quarterback in the NFL for the most part the past five years. He became the starter for the Cleveland Browns last season after Deshaun Watson went down with an injury. He played well enough to earn a two-year, eight-million-dollar contract with the New York Giants.
Winston entered the NFL with a stigma after his Florida State days. However, it's almost as if his career has done a complete 180 off the field as his on-field play evolved from a starter to a backup.

Winston's always had charisma and a sense of humor that's often misunderstood. However, lately, that charisma has helped Winston land some gigs that show he can pursue a career with a microphone after his NFL days are done.
He won an award earlier this year for his work with FOX at Super Bowl LIX:

Winston is naturally a funny guy, and he comes across well on the microphone and video. It has almost a quarter of a million views, having been posted only 14 hours ago (at the time this was written).
He is positioning himself for a career after football, thanks to the work he's done over the past few years. Who would have thought folks would view him in a positive light a decade later, after the perception folks had when he first entered the league? Winston has always been a funny guy, and it's great to see folks finally embracing him after all these years.
