Florida State football is having movement all over the place in the transfer portal, which has made the fan base frustrated. The Seminoles had pieces that didn't want to see leave, like defensive linemen Mandrell and Darryll Desir and wide receiver Lawayne McCoy.
The program is in shambles after head football coach Mike Norvell and his squad have won seven games over the past two seasons. This is not the expectation at Florida State, which is competing for championships.
The Seminoles wish they could go back to the 2022 and 2023 seasons, where they elevated to 10-3 and 13-1 records, respectively. Coach Norvell had major success during those years. However, it has been different when the calendar shifted to 2024 and 2025.
Former quarterback committed to a Group of Five school
The program had a big turn when former quarterback Jordan Travis found his stride as a signal-caller. Travis had the nation on the lookout after he had several playmakers, such as receivers Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman. However, that all came to an end after he suffered a major injury on Senior Night against North Alabama in 2023.
Reserve Tate Rodemaker started the rivalry game the next week against Florida, but he later entered the transfer portal before the ACC Championship Game. The transfer of Rodemaker and the injury to Travis forced true freshman quarterback Brock Glenn into action against Louisville.
This was very difficult to maneuver for the youngster, as the game plan didn't showcase his strengths, and he was virtually a game manager. Eventually, the Seminoles brought in transfer quarterbacks over him and even placed true freshman Kevin Sperry as the back up this year.
The moment was probably coming to see the news that quarterback Brock Glenn would be entering the transfer portal, and on Thursday afternoon, Glenn announced that he would be transferring to Western Kentucky.

Even though it did not pan out for Glenn at Florida State, I really respect him for battling it out through all the difficult circumstances.
I know that the Miami versus Ole Miss College Football Semifinal game is tonight, but Glenn did something that the Hurricanes have never done in their program history: Win an ACC Championship Game.
We at ChopChat want to wish Brock Glenn nothing but the best in the next chapter of his journey.
