Florida State football has concluded its spring practices, and the fan base's morale is at an all-time low. Several individuals don't even invest their time in learning more about the team this offseason, which can be viewed as understandable.

The administration retained head coach Mike Norvell after capping off his four losing seasons in six years at the helm. Whether that's because of the buyout or their confidence in Norvell remains to be seen, but Florida State will try to turn this thing around in 2026.

There is a ton of negativity surrounding the program, but I want to highlight some of the positive aspects. As a result, here are five players on the Florida State football roster that you should buy stock in for the 2026 season.

QB Ashton Daniels

This is an easy one. While head coach Mike Norvell didn't name a starter at quarterback, he did rave about former Stanford and Auburn transfer signal-caller Ashton Daniels quite often. With that said, it isn't a done deal necessarily with Kevin Sperry and Malachi Marshall, but every time he mentions quarterbacks, Daniels is getting praise for his veteran leadership and improving skill set.

RB Ousmane Kromah

Florida State brought in former Texas running back transfer Tre Wisner, and fans thought that it would overcomplicate the running back situation with players such as Ousmane Kromah and Sam Singleton Jr. However, the name that we have heard the most from the coaching staff has not been Wisner. It has actually been Kromah. He was a former four-star prospect that the Seminoles battled away from Auburn and Georgia. The Georgia native has continued to have productive practices.

WR Devin Carter

This one is a bit surprising since the program has the trio of Duce Robinson, Micahi Danzy, and Jayvan Boggs returning at wide receiver for the 2026 season. However, Robinson has been limited, Danzy has been involved with track, and Boggs has been sidelined with an injury. With that said, the legacy player in Devin Carter has continued to impress the coaching staff as a true freshman and has become a real contributor to this offense.

DT Daniel Lyons

This is the final ride for redshirt senior defensive tackle Daniel Lyons. The former four-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class stayed all the way through his career at Florida State, which, in today's landscape of college football, is unheard of. Lyons has been raved on by the coaching staff, stating that he has turned a corner this offseason. It wouldn't surprise me to see him and Kevin Wynn, with Mandrell Desir, Deante McCray, and Jordan Sanders sliding inside as well.

LB Omar Graham Jr.

Linebacker Omar Graham Jr. has been another player who stuck it out throughout his career. Like Lyons, he was also part of the 2022 recruiting cycle. The former three-star prospect had entered the transfer portal this offseason, but elected to come back to Tallahassee for his final season with position coach Ernie Sims. Head coach Mike Norvell mentioned that Graham Jr. has lost ten pounds and has been standing out in practice. The linebacker position could be really good for the Seminoles this year.
