NIL

I wouldn't go crazy here, but FSU has some funds set aside for the quarterback position. They got a five-star to schedule an official visit (it was later canceled), but that wasn't without the promise of a solid NIL deal.

O'Neal isn't in the best position to hold FSU over a barrel, but he does have some leverage, knowing FSU doesn't have many options left that would help them change the recruiting narrative surrounding the program.

I'd be competitive with whatever he's getting from Oklahoma and maybe go over that a little. Would Oklahoma fight to keep him, not knowing what Bowe Bentley will do? I think this tactic would force Oklahoma's hand before they're ready.

If they fight to keep him, it communicates they are not confident in getting Bentley, and they can adjust. If they don't fight to keep him, then you get your guy and start building the class around him, while changing the narrative about high school recruiting.

It would be the second Oklahoma commit FSU flipped in the last two years (Kevin Sperry).
