DE JAYSON JENKINS
Florida State football kissed death last season when legendary head football coach Nick Saban mentioned that the Seminoles would have one of the best defensive lines in the entire country. That prediction was an utter disaster from the jump.
However, this brings a new opportunity as the Seminoles grabbed a couple of defensive linemen from the transfer portal to generate excitement within the fan base. The Seminoles need to be physical and get after the opposing quarterbacks in Tony White's multiple 3-3-5 defensive scheme.
One transfer lineman that I am excited to see is former Tennessee defensive end transfer Jayson Jenkins, who the coaching staff said should be a "full go" next week in practice. It is uncertain whether or not he will perform in Sunday's scrimmage, but it will be important to see how he looks out there on the field.
It seems like defensive line coach Terrance Knighton has big plans for Jenkins as the Seminoles look to pull off the upset versus Alabama in Week 1. Slow progress is better than no progress, especially since many individuals originally thought that Jenkins could miss a chunk of the 2025 season.
