WR ELIJAH MOORE
Florida State secured the likes of four-star wide receiver prospects Lawayne McCoy, Elijah Moore, BJ Gibson, and Camdon Frier. I realize that the position group as a whole in 2024 was disappointing, adding in transfers Malik Benson and Jalen Brown (who will be returning in 2025).
However, McCoy and Gibson (who is also playing on the Seminoles' baseball team this spring) showed flashes of being competent players. In terms of Moore, he was the only prospect that arrived on campus in the summer.
In today's landscape of college football recruiting, many prospects benefit from early enrolling in January instead of coming in the summer. This allows them to learn the playbook, get acclimated to the collegiate game, and attend workouts/practices.
Moore did not play much during the 2024 season, but fans were so intrigued by his 6'4" size and his willingness to highpoint the football. With new wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr. leading the charge, could we see the former four-star prospect get snaps in 2025?
