DL YAHYA GAAD

This is a newer name that has surfaced on the Florida State football recruiting front. Three-star defensive end Yahya Gaad from Medina, Texas, will be unofficially visiting the Seminoles this weekend for their matchup against Kent State.

Gaad recently de-committed from UCLA. Fans always seem to covet the star rankings without taking other factors into consideration. The pass rusher has offers from schools such as Georgia, Texas, SMU, Ole Miss, North Carolina, Mississippi State, Louisville, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and others.

Defensive line coach Terrance Knighton has received criticism from some of the fan base on social media, but the results speak for themselves. His unit on the gridiron has been aggressive and dominant at times.

Gaad is listed at 6'5" and 259 pounds. The common theme when it comes to his recruiting style is that he likes pieces with size and versatility to play with the defensive end or defensive tackle spots. This is a situation where expanding the target board with options should not be a bad thing for the defensive line.
