Florida State's 2027 recruiting class is not where the fan base wants it to be at the moment, as it ranks as the 50th-best in the country, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. This almost sounds like we are discussing Florida Atlantic's recruiting class rather than Florida State's.

However, that is the reality that the Seminoles are facing. While I don't want to sound doom and gloom, head coach Mike Norvell and Florida State have to win now because these high school recruits need to know that he will be employed when they arrive on campus.

I wouldn't worry too much about the recruiting class because Florida State will be able to get some prospects to commit. It is way too early to panic. The Seminoles are hosting double-digit prospects this weekend for official visits, and quarterback commit Logan Flaherty will be in attendance to put on his recruiting hat for Florida State. Let's highlight three prospects who are most likely to commit from this weekend.

Four-star WR Sean Green

Florida State still hasn't gotten a wide receiver prospect in its recruiting class. Some fans were frustrated about four-star Jabari Watkins not visiting the Seminoles anymore, but the staff wants to be selective with pass catchers after grabbing six in the last cycle. Four-star Sean Green is a prime candidate to be in the class, but Florida State has to battle Georgia for him.

Three-star DL Jason Lewis

Florida State will be hosting three-star defensive lineman Jason Lewis from Kissimmee, Florida, this weekend. The Seminoles already have two in the defensive trenches, but they likely want to add a couple more to the fold. Lewis already has a crystal ball prediction in favor of Florida State, but he has announced that he wants to commit on July 10th. Mississippi State, Syracuse, and Kentucky are the other schools involved. If the Seminoles want him in the class, they should be able to land him.

Three-star RB Marquis Fennell

Florida State still doesn't have a running back prospect in its recruiting class. Marquis Fennell is from Valdosta, Georgia, which is a short distance from Tallahassee, and seems to be a solid fit for the program. He has visited the Seminoles on multiple occasions. Just like Jason Lewis, he has already scheduled a date to announce his commitment on June 25th. Florida State's likely biggest competition is Georgia Tech, which he will be taking an official visit to on the weekend of June 12th.
