FSU football fans already felt the pain from Sunday afternoon when the College Football Playoff committee did not include the undefeated ACC champion Florida State Seminoles, which was jumped by a one-loss SEC champion Alabama Crimson Tide. This has been an extremely difficult time for the coaches, players, and fans to fathom what transpired.

Just when you thought it could get worse, it did.

Class of 2024 five-star safety commit KJ Bolden from Buford, Georgia unofficially visited the Auburn Tigers on Monday. The talented defensive back has been committed to the Seminoles since August 5th and is classified as the eleventh-best prospect, according to 247Sports’ Composite.

As it relates to Bolden, he has always had a strong relationship with Auburn head football coach Hugh Freeze. He even took an unofficial visit to the Tigers on July 29th then officially visited their campus on September 30th when Auburn lost to Georgia by a score of 27-20.

While I understand FSU fans’ concerns with Bolden visiting elsewhere due to the Travis Hunter situation a few years ago, the Buford High School standout has unofficially visited Tallahassee on several occasions where he came down for the Duke and Miami contests. The coaching staff also has Bolden scheduled to come in for his official visit on December 15th.

For reference, the Early Signing Period begins on December 20th (five days after Bolden makes his official visit to the Seminoles).

All in all, recruiting is an unpredictable period for teenagers to make one of the most important decisions of their lives. Fans have to allow prospects to visit a variety of these locations because most of them will not have the opportunity to do this again in their lifetimes. Personally, I am not worried about KJ Bolden flipping his services to the Auburn Tigers at this time.
