FSU football got royally screwed the College Football Playoff Committee Sunday afternoon. A week after moving into the No. 4 spot by defeating a Florida Gator team that won’t play in a bowl with its backup QB.

The Noles got dropped to the No. 5 spot after defeating the No. 14 team nationally by 10 points with its third-string QB. How does that happen?

Well, that’s what happens with TV executives who care more about stuff off of the field than what happens on the field. A one-loss Alabama team who needed a “Hail Mary” in the previous week defeated No. 1 Georgia Saturday and moved into the No. 4 spot.

The one-loss Texas team, who defeated Alabama by 10 points on the road moved into the No. 3 spot. There was no way the committee could put Alabama in front of Texas due to the head-to-head loss, so they moved both one-loss teams in front of an undefeated FSU football team.

Incredible, especially after FSU beat a team ranked higher than the team Texas defeated Saturday for its conference championship.

Why play the games if you put who you want in the playoffs? People thought Oregon would wax Washington Friday night, and that didn’t happen.

Folks thought Michigan would wax TCU in the College Football Playoff Semi last year, and that didn’t happen. This is a travesty, and here are five reasons the College Football Playoff Committee is a joke.
