FSU football will be taking on their arch-rival Florida Gators in Ben-Hill Griffin Stadium tonight on ESPN at 7:00 PM EST.

Some individuals outside the program have questioned the ability of the Seminoles to move the football with redshirt junior Tate Rodemaker being the starting quarterback after redshirt senior Jordan Travis suffering a season-ending injury versus North Alabama.

The College Gameday crew picked the matchup between Florida State and Florida, and all of the analysts picked the Seminoles to win.

Just like our ChopChat staff score predictions, it was a clean sweep in favor of Florida State.

While I realize that some of the fanbase could be superstitious about everyone picking Florida State in the game, the Seminoles have an excellent opportunity to secure a huge rivalry win against a struggling Gators team.

Florida State will look to become the state champions (defeating both Miami and Florida) for the second season in a row. The Seminoles have not lost a football game since October 15, 2022 (not trying to jinx the team). This squad understands what it takes to win at any cost possible.

Florida fans will certainly be noisy in the Swamp as they hope to ruin Florida State’s undefeated season as well as obtaining bowl eligibility under second-year head football coach Billy Napier.

The team in Gainesville has had its fair share of struggles during the 2023 season where it has suffered four straight losses to Georgia, Arkansas, LSU, and Missouri. Florida State’s defense will be facing off against yet another backup quarterback this season as the Gators will be trotting out redshirt freshman Max Brown.

The Seminoles will have their hands full as they have a date set with the Louisville Cardinals in the ACC Championship next Saturday. However, Florida State needs to worry about Florida before getting ahead of itself.
