Parting Thoughts

I was one of the only people trusting the defense in the preseason and telling everyone the offense would dictate how far this team will go.

This game against Florida is no different. I don’t expect the FSU defense to give up many points to an inexperienced quarterback and a Florida offensive line dealing with some issues.

I expect Florida to take the Miami approach and try to run the ball, except they have a mobile quarterback and will look to keep them in third and short situations. FSU will need to shut their run game down and make him put the ball in the air.

Offensively, it’ll be Tate Rodemaker making smart decisions and not turning the ball over, hopefully.

FSU has a ton of weapons at his disposal, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Rodemaker distrubute the ball well instead of trying to force it downfield.

Hopefully, FSU can establish some running game, and I’d involve Rodemaker in some read option stuff since they probably won’t respect him keeping it.

I could see some passes to the running backs out of the backfield as an extension of the running game. I’m excited for this matchup and how Mike Norvell will attack.
