Inexperience at QB

Florida went from having one of the most experienced quarterbacks nationally to having one of the least experienced. Redshirt freshman Max Brown has played in five games in his career(all this season).

He’s completed 10 of 12 passes for 106 yards. His production has come against McNeese State, Vanderbilt, and South Carolina. The latter happened last week, as Brown completed 4 of 5 passes and has 42 yards on seven carries.

The latter will likely be a big part of his game, as he rushed for over 1,300 yards in his senior year of high school. The good news is that FSU has faced several mobile quarterbacks similar to Brown this year.

Most notably, they faced the best dual-threat QB and Heisman front-runner, Jayden Daniels in the first game this year.

The FSU defense held Daniels to his lowest output all season. The key will be stopping the run and avoiding Brown scrambling to extend plays, particularly on third down.

Missouri’s defense is solid, but it’s a step below what FSU brings and will be the best defense he’s played against.
