6. AJ Duffy, redshirt freshman

In modern college football, two years is a long time to sit and wait. Redshirt freshman AJ Duffy has already waited that long and might have to wait one more if he stays at Florida State.

With how aggressive Mike Norvell has been in the transfer portal, I’m not sure why anyone would expect him to approach the quarterback position differently. Even Jordan Travis was a transfer.

Duffy is a former four-star quarterback and he’s barely played since getting to Florida State. The FSU QB room is already crowded with Tate Rodemaker and four-star true freshman Brock Glenn. If Norvell adds a proven transfer to that mix, then that could be it for Duffy, a California native, at FSU.
