Four-star DT Artavius Jones (Miami commit)

The Florida State Seminoles have done a nice job with constructing the future of their defensive line this recruiting cycle. They were recently able to flip four-star defensive end Armondo Blount from his commitment with the Miami Hurricanes.

The coaching staff has now turned its attention over to yet another Hurricane commit with four-star defensive tackle Artavius Jones from Blountstown High School in Blountstown, Florida. He has been committed to Miami since July 14, 2023. The defensive tackle position has become a position of need since Fabien Lovett Sr., Braden Fiske, Dennis Briggs Jr., and maybe even Darrell Jackson Jr. or Joshua Farmer will depart after this season.

Florida State currently has one defensive tackle prospect in their recruiting class with three-star Jamorie Flagg. The talented Blountstown product has showcased mutual interest in the Seminoles where he has utilized two unofficial visits to Tallahassee in the month of October.

We will see if he ends up making it in on Saturday.
