FSU football will be taking on the Syracuse Orange in the friendly confines of Doak Campbell for a noon kickoff this Saturday.

As I alluded in a previous article, I described some of the “joys” of having the noon time slot. Fortunately, the Seminoles have one of the best fanbases in all of college football and the game has now been announced as a sell out.

FSU has been one of the top stories for the college football landscape after defeating teams such as LSU and Clemson. However, the mission is not complete until they get through their seven-game regular season stretch, which features Duke, Miami (could be dangerous if they kneel the football), Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, and Florida.

Plus, head football coach Mike Norvell and company have to prepare themselves for a potential appearance in the ACC Championship where they could play a Louisville team that has performed well this season.

Overall, this is an FSU fanbase that has been starving for sustain success. The time period between 2017-2021 was a difficult set of circumstances that leave many Seminole fans searching for answers and asking questions such as: Did the football program hit rock bottom?

Luckily, FSU secured a 10-3 record in 2022 and have began the 2023 season at 5-0. The energy and enthusiasm has elevated to new heights that we haven’t seen since the conclusion of the 2016 season after defeating the Michigan Wolverines in the Orange Bowl by a score of 33-32.

It speaks volume that the fanbase is willing to come to Doak Campbell Stadium in a sleepy noon kickoff to witness their 5-0 Florida State Seminoles take on a 4-2 Syracuse team that just lost to No. 14 North Carolina in embarrassing 40-7 fashion.

Hopefully, there will be 79,560 fans happily exiting the stadium on Saturday afternoon where they will be anxiously awaiting a top 25 matchup against the Duke Blue Devils.

Next. FSU football: Syracuse game week is finally upon us. dark
