Deuce Spann

Will “The Deuce” finally be loose? The former Illinois quarterback transfer (converted to wide receiver) has not been much of a factor during his time in Tallahassee. During the 2022 season, he only had eight receptions for 64 yards and zero touchdowns.

Spann has not been effective this season either. Just like Jacobs, he only has one reception. However, the potential is there. Most fans remember the exchange during last season’s matchup against arch-rival Miami Hurricanes where you could see head football coach Mike Norvell visibly upset with Spann as he committed a 15-yard personal foul penalty in the third quarter when the Seminoles were up by a score of 38-3.

This speaks to how much Norvell and company want the ultra-talented receiver to be successful.
