QB Jordan Travis

Plain and simple, this FSU offense lives and dies by the play of redshirt senior quarterback Jordan Travis. While he has not quite lived up to the Heisman Trophy candidate expectations, the West Palm Beach (FL) native has still had a successful 2023 campaign where he has completed 74 of his 121 passes for 1,028 yards and 10 touchdowns with only one interception. He has also somewhat showcased his dual-threat ability where he has accumulated 23 carries for 94 yards and two touchdowns.

However, if the Seminoles want to accomplish their lofty expectations of winning an ACC Championship and making a College Football Playoff appearance then Travis and the rest of the offense will have to elevate its game to the next level. It looked as if the star quarterback was battling a shoulder injury versus Clemson that he suffered from the Boston College contest. Could we see FSU rest their best offensive player in the second half, considering that the Seminoles are expected to win Saturday’s matchup comfortably?
