FSU football: 4-star QB commit Luke Kromenhoek visiting this weekend
FSU football fans have often questioned what life would be without their starting quarterback Jordan Travis, who will exceed his eligibility after this season.
The Seminoles’ faithful have witnessed Travis grow in front of their eyes with his development as a passer. However, one of the biggest question marks of 2024 revolves around who will take the reins from the West Palm Beach (FL) native, who is now the Seminoles’ record holder for touchdowns responsible.
The scholarship quarterback rotation for next season will consist of redshirt senior Tate Rodemaker, redshirt sophomore AJ Duffy, redshirt freshman Brock Glenn, and true freshman Luke Kromenhoek (if he signs with the Seminoles).
While it could be difficult to fathom that a true freshman could have an opportunity to start right away, Kromenhoek has the talent to turn some heads in Tallahassee. Especially considering that the Savannah (GA) native will be an early enrollee.
Credit to the coaching staff for having such an early evaluation of Kromenhoek, where they were the first school to offer him back on June 18, 2021, before he was even a starter at Benedictine Military School. During his first season as the starting quarterback last year, he completed 171 of his 263 passes for 2,576 yards and 24 touchdowns with only three interceptions.
Kromenhoek will be back in Tallahassee this weekend as the Florida State Seminoles will be taking on the Virginia Tech Hokies in the friendly confines of Doak Campbell Stadium. The talented signal-caller is one of the Noles’ biggest recruiters, which bodes well for a program that will be hosting four-star defensive lineman target LJ McCray.
Kromenhoek will not be the only commitment who will be cheering on the Seminoles this weekend, there will also be notable pledges such as five-star safety KJ Bolden, five-star cornerback Charles Lester III, and four-star wide receiver Camdon Frier in attendance.
