FSU football has been really successful thus far in constructing their 2024 recruiting class, which is headlined by highly-touted prospects such as five-star safety KJ Bolden and five-star cornerback Charles Lester III.

Is Lester III trolling UF and UM?

On Monday afternoon, Lester III posted on his Instagram account trolling the arch-rival Florida Gators and Miami Hurricanes.

Nervous about Lester III to the Gators?

The talented defensive back made a trip to Gainesville for an unofficial visit recently. Per usual, fans typically get a bit nervous when commits visit other universities (especially when visiting an arch-rival). The Venice High School standout stated after his commitment to the Seminoles in July that he had been silently committed to FSU for quite some time.

While Lester III has emphasized the fact that he is locked into his commitment with head football coach Mike Norvell and company, recruiting is an ever-changing process that involves teenagers making one of the most important decisions of their lives. Regardless, Florida State has the No. 6 ranked 2024 recruiting class, according to 247Sports Composite.

Theoretically, this social media post by the five-star prospect somewhat slows down the recruiting momentum that the Gators thought that they had. It certainly doesn’t help that the perception of the future in Gainesville has been changed after they were defeated by the Kentucky Wildcats by a score of 33-14 on Saturday afternoon.

In terms of the Florida State Seminoles, the feeling around college football is positive given that they possess a 4-0 record with victories over LSU and Clemson. The Seminoles have not acquired a commitment since Bolden made his intentions known in early August, but FSU doesn’t seem to be losing momentum with its own pledges.
