QB Jordan Travis

While quarterback Jordan Travis is not the type to care about individual awards, this is a perfect opportunity for him to showcase his talents on a big stage. During the offseason, fans were excited about the potential of him winning the Heisman Trophy, given that he had an abundance of playmakers on the offensive side of the football.

While he has not played horrific by any means, he has not taken that next step forward where it looks like he is trying to create big plays downfield instead of taking what the opposing defenses give him. During the 2023 season, Travis has completed 53 of his 84 passes for 739 yards and eight touchdowns with only one interception. Primetime games are where Heisman Trophy winners are born, and it is time for the West Palm Beach (Fl.) native to showcase what he is made of.

The talented quarterback has not been much of a rushing threat thus far, where he only has 17 carries for 96 yards and one touchdown on the season. Fans are worried that he isn’t utilizing his legs properly. However, this was the same response as last year before putting his dual-threat ability on display. In the 34-28 loss to the Tigers in 2022, Travis ended with 14 rushing attempts for 64 yards and one touchdown.

If the Seminoles want to be successful on Saturday, the former Louisville transfer will have to be a huge factor.
