FSU football: Comparing recruiting classes from a year ago

2023 Class A Year Ago This Time
It’s crazy how your perspective can change based on certain things. A year ago, FSU had 10 commits with a 60 percent blue-chip ratio.
However, they just had a de-commitment from QB Chris Parson and the other QB target Brock Glenn committed to Ohio State exactly a year ago today(ultimately FSU flipped him to join the class).
The class ranked No. 42 nationally and looked like this one year ago:
- Keldric Faulk: No. 74 overall(flipped to Auburn eventually)
- Lucas Simmons: No. 111 overall
- Roderick Kearney: No. 112 overall (flipped to Florida eventually)
- Keith Sampson: No. 244 overall
- Lamont Green Jr.: No. 297 overall
- Vandrevius Jacobs: No. 298 overall
- Darren Lawrence: No. 494 overall
- Quindarrius Jones: No. 855 overall
- Jaden Jones: Didn’t have a composite ranking
- DeMarco Ward: No. 1,213 overall
FSU went on to land a few guys in the first week in August that bumped the ranking up. Samuel Singleton’s commitment on August 5th moved the Noles to No. 32 nationally.
That’s a far cry from the No. 6 ranking FSU has with the 2024 class now. What’s crazy is FSU has more targets that could improve their ranking IF the commit.
