Renardo Green

Renardo Green was FSU’s best cornerback last season, and it wasn’t close. Ironically, he was someone most folks had written off before spring camp started last year.

Green was fourth on the team with 58 tackles, three tackles for a loss, and five passes defended.

Green doesn’t do anything particularly spectacular but plays with solid technique and a good football IQ.

However, he’s cornerback that can cover while not afraid to come downhill in the run game. His highlight reel tackle against LSU’s Jayden Daniels in the season opener is a prime example.

He’s another player that will benefit from an improved defensive line. Since quarterbacks will likely have less time to process information, we may see more opportunities for players like Green to make plays on the ball.
