FSU football: 4-star WR Elijah Moore commits to the Noles
FSU football keeps adding playmakers with another dynamic offensive weapon to their 2024 recruiting class.
Tuesday afternoon, 2024, four-star wide receiver Elijah Moore from Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland, pledged his commitment to the Florida State Seminoles.
The Seminoles have now added their fifth pass catcher in the class to pair alongside four-stars Camdon Frier, Tawaski Abrams, BJ Gibson, and Lawayne McCoy.
After securing zero prospects at his position during the 2022 recruiting cycle, wide receivers coach Ron Dugans continues to prove the doubters wrong with his recruiting prowess by acquiring three commitments in 2023 and already securing five pledges in 2024.
As for Moore, he named FSU his leader following his official visit with the Seminoles from June 23-25. Ohio State, who he officially visited from June 2-4, was the other team in contention for the talented playmaker.
Florida State offered Moore way back on March 15, 2021, and never stopped its pursuit of the 6-foot-4, 190-pound receiver. FSU was missing length in their current stable of commits at the position, as none of their receivers were over six feet tall.
Moore is someone who can high point the football with ease as well as use physicality with his length. He certainly brings another dimension to an already talented wide receiver commit class.
At the moment, the Seminoles’ two wide receiver commits have been enjoying the recruiting process, where Abrams has been communicating with teams such as Florida and Texas A&M, and McCoy has officially visited the UCF Knights.
Given that both playmakers could ultimately decide to go elsewhere, the coaching staff has ensured itself more viable receivers in their class.
As I stated before, the acquisition of Moore does not impact the Seminoles’ pursuit of other highly-touted prospects such as five-star Joshisa Trader, five-star Cameron Coleman, five-star Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State commit), and four-star Zion Ragins.
