FSU football: 3-star Rydarrius Morgan list Noles in top six schools
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football is making a lot of top school lists for 2024 recruits lately, and Wednesday night was no different.
Three-star safety prospect Rydarrius Morgan listed the Noles in his top six school’s list on Twitter.
The Alabama product officially visited the Noles on the first weekend they offered official visits in June.
He has an ‘offer’ from all of these schools. The question would be would all six schools accept his commitment if he wanted to commit now? I think the answer to that is likely no since most of these schools likely have higher-caliber players above him on their recruiting board.
FSU likely falls into that boat, but players like KJ Bolden, Zaquan Patterson, Zavier Mincey, Ashton Hampton, and Ricardo Jones would be above him now. Mincey has already officially visited, Patterson will likely visit during the season, Jones is leaning towards Clemson but could still visit this weekend, and Hampton will officially visit in December.
Bolden was on campus over the last two days, and FSU is in the mix with some other players that could play safety or cornerback. It’s probably worth noting Morgan has only taken official visits to FSU and Cincinnati and is supposed to officially visit Miami on June 23. No official visits to in-state Alabama or Auburn tells you all you need to know.
FSU likes Morgan but probably would have had him officially visit the June 23 weekend when a ton of other commits were on campus instead of the first weekend this month if they were pushing hard for his commitment. This commitment will probably come between Miami and Cincinnati, with Miami getting the last official visit.
However, Miami already has three safety commitments in its 2024 recruiting class. Morgan ranks as the No. 558 player and the No. 56 safety nationally. Morgan could be a player FSU comes back around to if they miss on their top targets.
