FSU football has a solid start to its 2024 recruiting class and ranks No. 8 nationally. The Noles received a projection for a blue-chip defensive end on Wednesday in Dylan Stephenson.

However, the recruiting momentum didn’t stop there, as another projection for the Noles came through Thursday for blue-chip athlete Kylan Fox. Fox will ultimately play tight-end if he chooses the Noles.

On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons projected with a confidence of 6 out of 10. Fox ranks as the No. 212 player nationally, and the No. 17 athlete via composite rankings. He hails from Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia, and has been to FSU a few times since receiving his offer in August 2022.

Fox will officially visit FSU on June 16th and checks in at 6’4″ and 208 pounds.

He would be the second tight end in the 2024 recruiting class, joining five-star Landen Thomas. Fox holds nearly 60 offers. He plans to take an official visit to UCF on June 2, and Colorado on June 9th. Fox also plays defensive end but logged 25 passes for 326 yards and two touchdowns as a junior in 2022.

Fox was on campus as recently as FSU’s spring game in early April but also unofficially visited in January. Credit had to go to FSU tight-end coach Chris Thomsen, who’s done a lot of work in Georgia. FSU already has commits from three of the top 22 players in the Peach State.

A commitment from Fox would be a big feather in the cap for the Noles as they have gone heads up against Georgia for these players. If Fox and Stephenson committed today, FSU football would have a 69 percent blue-chip ratio while in the mix for several more blue-chip targets.

FSU usually does a lot of recruiting work in the summer months. Things could get interesting if this momentum brings commits to fruition.
