FSU football hosted its second 2023 spring scrimmage Saturday, which consisted of 110 plays.

There was more of a game flow to this scrimmage, unlike the first scrimmage, which was mostly situational.

Mike Norvell said Jordan Travis led the team on a 12-play touchdown drive and called it a day afterward.

The backup QBs were not as sharp as last week, as they tried to force things that were not there. However, a scrimmage setting is when you want to see those young players take more chances instead of remaining tentative.

If they make mistakes, chalk it up as a learning experience as long as they don’t repeat the same mistakes. We have to remember they are putting these guys in tough situations to see how they respond as well.

It sounds like Johnny Wilson and Kentron Poitier will be problems for opposing defenses this year. Mike Norvell believes these receivers will be really good this season(which includes the tight ends).

Good luck trying to defend that this season. Trey Benson and Lawrance Toafili shined with some big runs as they took the green jerseys off and were live. FSU continues to mix and match along the offensive line, with multiple guys playing different positions.
