FSU football finished the regular season on a five-game winning streak, including two wins over rivals Miami and Florida.

The program continued that momentum with top additions in the transfer portal and a strong close during the Early Signing Period.

The Noles signed 17 high schoolers (eight blue-chip) and have six transfer portal players committed who should enroll this spring. A month ago, I wrote about some of the top remaining needs from the transfer portal.

The positions were offensive linemen, linebacker, defensive back, and defensive tackle/edge (in order from least to greatest). The first add from the transfer portal was Miami defensive tackle Darrell Jackson.

I didn’t feel like the tight end was that high of a priority, but FSU got arguably the two best in the portal with Jaheim Bell and Kyle Morlock. Those two additions will likely improve the offense drastically in 2023.

They’ve also added offensive linemen, Jeremiah Byers, Casey Roddick, and Keiondre Jones.

It wasn’t known if Tatum Bethune would return for the 2023 season then, so his announcement made linebacker less of a priority.

Plus, FSU signed two high school linebackers last week, Blake Nichelson and DeMarco Ward.

Let’s look at the top three remaining needs from the transfer portal.
