Parting Thoughts

It’s hard to predict who will get on the field as a true freshman, and there could be a few others that do so in the right situations. Ideally, offensive lineman, Lucas Simmons would benefit from redshirting and spending another year getting bigger and stronger.

However, I could see him getting some snaps in a few blowouts, especially since he’s enrolling in the spring. Four-star linebacker Blake Nichelson isn’t an early enrollee, so that will likely keep him off the field.

The wide receiver room is stacked, so it’ll be difficult for those other than Hykeem Williams to get on the field consistently. The same goes for running back Samuel Singleton, and quarterback Brock Glenn will likely redshirt.

JUCO product Jaden Jones is someone that could find his way on the field as long as he fully recovers from his knee injury. He enrolls this spring and has incredible upside. Conrad Hussey isn’t an early enrollee, otherwise I would listed him, but he comes from a high school with better than average coaching and has potential to get on the field.

It’s a good thing most of these young players don’t have to play before they’re ready. That’s how a program develops players and builds good depth.
