Hykeem Williams

Hykeem Williams is the crown jewel of the 2023 recruiting class and the first five-star signed since the 2017 recruiting class, Hykeem Williams.

It’s difficult for most high school wide receivers to make the transition to the college game. Williams will enroll this spring, which should aid in the transition, but he has a couple of things going for him that most wide receivers don’t.

Williams is a grown man, physically ready to play the college game at 6’3 and 200 pounds, with incredible speed to boot. He’ll also have nearly eight months to get stronger in FSU’s strength and conditioning program.

I don’t expect him to start right away, but they’ll likely have some offensive packages to take advantage of his skillset. Williams can bully smaller defensive backs in the red zone and take the top off a defense.

The FSU offense should be among the best nationally in 2023, which likely means they will have blow out wins to get younger players on the field for developmental reps.
