Have Success Early

I know this sound rudimentary, but whether Jordan Travis and others play or not, FSU needs to find early success on both sides of the ball.

FSU will have the advantage in the trenches overall, and they have more overall talent than Boston College.

However, I think the most important aspect is getting off to a good start defensively. The FSU defense needs to go ahead and wipe out any positive vibes for the Boston College offense since that’s where they are the worst.

Hopefully, they can win the toss and defer, get a three-and-out and give the offense a short field to build an early lead.

The atmosphere will be electric under the lights and an early lead will only make it more difficult for the Eagles to put something positive together.

Also, Boston College is already one-dimensional offensively, and an early lead will only reinforce that notion unless Jeff Haffley is content with trying to run the ball and the clock to keep the game close on the scoreboard as long as possible.
