FSU had a bye week at the right time, considering some of the injuries sustained to a few players, plus the time to recover after the physical LSU game.

FSU has already lost two offensive linemen for the season, with Maurice Smith and Darius Washington working around some injuries already.

Fabien Lovett tweeted he’s good after tweaking something in the LSU game, but the bye week gives him another break to make sure he’s really good. Wide receiver Johnny Wilson injured his ankle in the season opener and played against LSU, so the bye week gives him time to get that injury closer to 100 percent.

This time also helps Winston Wright get a little closer to potentially returning to action in what would be a huge addition to the offense in a pivotal set of games.

Omarion Cooper is another player that’s been dealing with an injury, and will benefit from the bye week. As you can see, FSU has had some injuries early to some key players.

FSU has two bye weeks this season, and this was an opportune time for the first one, not to mention it allows FSU more time to prepare for Louisville.
