FSU football: Quick observations through week two of 2022 fall camp
By Kelvin Hunt
Parting Thoughts
The biggest thing FSU needs between now and the beginning of the season is to finish fall camp with no more major injuries. Some rumors are swirling about other guys getting hurt, but we still have a little over three weeks before the LSU game.
If guys have minor injuries and sprains, that’s more than enough time to rehab and heal since most starters won’t be needed for the Duquesne opener.
The depth chart seems set for the most part on both sides of the ball minus a couple of positions. I think we know the offense will be better, especially if there are no more injuries on the o-line besides losing Kayden Lyles.
The talent infusion at wide receiver is apparent, with the question mark lingering at tight end. We know what we have at tight-end when Camren McDonald returns. The defense has experience and leadership at every level.
I think we know the depth chart for the most part, but several players will rotate for snaps at different points.
The good news is there’s enough depth to do that at several positions without the level of play falling off a cliff. I think this team is in a position to meet expectations as long as they have good injury luck, we’ll hold out hope that happens between now and November.
