Quarterbacks/WR

Jordan Travis is the established starter, and I’ve been on record the Noles should win eight games if he can stay healthy.

He has been solid in camp, and the other quarterbacks are stacking good days on top of one another. That’s promising with the injury history of Travis but may shed some light on why the coaching staff is handing QB recruiting the way they have been.

Mike Norvell, who’s usually candid in his interviews, mentioned that AJ Duffy is as farther along in his development as a QB than anyone he’s every had. I still have to see it translate into an actual game, but Tate Rodemaker might be serviceable behind the improved offensive line.

If Jordan Travis doesn’t come back next year, it could be the coaching staff believes either Rodemaker or Duffy could be the guy to lead the team behind what could likely be an even better offensive line in 2023.

Maybe that’s why the coaching staff doesn’t seem to be rushing any new QB offers out there? As far as the wide receivers, I’m still bullish on the group compared to most. I expect this group to be better with several capable options.

It looks like Mycah Pittman, Malik McClain, and Johnny Wilson could be some dudes for the Noles. I expect Ja’Khi Douglas and Ontaria Wilson to contribute as well. That’s four former blue-chip players, and a former high school teammate of Tamorrion Terry.
