Chris Hart (Associate Head Coach NC State)

I’d prefer the guy that replaces Mike Martin Jr. to have head coaching experience. However, Chris Hart played at FSU baseball from 1999 to 2003, totaling a 218-60 record during his career while reaching the Super Regionals all four years and the College World Series twice.

Hart has been coaching at NC State for 18 years, serving as their hitting coach and recruiting coordinator.

He was Baseball America’s Assistant Coach of the Year in 2021, helping guide NC State to the College World Series. NC State has routinely had one of the better hitting and defensive programs nationally while he’s been there.

Hart understands the FSU standard and has proven himself capable in the areas the Noles need the most help, the offense, and defense.

He’s a native of Florida, and the Wolfpack has the No. 17 ranked recruiting class for 2022, No. 23 for 2023, and No. 13 for 2024.

If he’s getting those type of classes at NC State, I’d like to think he will have no problems signing top classes with FSU baseball.
