Final Thoughts

There isn’t much left for the coaching staff to address from the transfer portal. It’s either the needs have been met for the most part, or the player quality isn’t up to par. I could see them taking another offensive linemen if Woody doesn’t qualify or someone they really liked hit the portal.

There is some optimism Winston Wright could return from his car accident to contribute this season. That revelation, coupled with Destyn Hill possibly joining the team, may be enough to thrwart the coaching staff from bringing another receiver . They haven’t pursued many, if at all that I know. I don’t know how effective a receiver joining the team now would be anyways because they likely wouldn’t learn the offense well enough to impact this season. It’s too late to bring in a QB, and the other possible area I could see would be at defensive end or defensive tackle.

That’s a player that claims an FSU offer as of yesterday. He played a couple of seasons at Tennessee and looks like he’d have to be a defensive tackle at 6’7 and 305 pounds. However, he lists himself as a DT/DE.

It’ll be interesting to see how it all shakes out. I firmly believe this team has more talent on the roster than it did this time last year. All they have to do now is go out and when games!
