Renardo Green

The defensive back unit returns a lot of talent and experience, including All-ACC First Team Jammie Robinson. Kevin Knowles, Greedy Vance, Akeem Dent, Omarion Cooper, Sidney Williams, Jarques McClellion, and Jarrian Jones return.

The addition of top 100 players Azareye’h Thomas and Sam McCall helped, the loss of Jarvis Brownlee to the transfer portal opened up a spot for someone to grab.

The person that seemed to use the spring to snatch that spot could be former three-star recruit Renardo Green. Green has played at FSU since 2018 with mixed results and battling injuries.

However, finally healthy, Green turned in a great spring camp that drew lots of praise from the coaching staff. Green has good size and physicality but seems to be an upgrade in coverage over Brownlee.

Green has been productive when healthy, totaling 27 tackles in five games in 2020 as a sophomore.

Green will need to keep competing for the job throughout the summer and fall camp. However, he has positioned himself nicely with a great spring.
