Question Marks At Wide Receiver

The wide receiver position was one of the biggest questions marks going into last season. That position remained a question mark when the Noles failed to sign any players in the Early Signing Period last December.

However, the coaching staff signed four wide receivers from the transfer portal. Winston Wright, likely the No. 1 option, had an accident that forced him to miss most of the spring practice.

Mycah Pittman was a fairly consistent option and should help the offense. However, Deuce Spann is raw and still learning the position and Johnny Wilson was inconsistent with catching the ball.

Ja’Khi Douglas was arguably the most consistent wide receiver this spring and had some nice moments in limited duty last season.

Malik McClain flashed some, but did he do enough to make him a viable option this season? I’m not sure, and there’s still time to make progress and improve before the season.

However, there are still some questions regarding who can become impact players at the position. I believe all of the guys mentioned here can make plays.

The question is can they make plays consistently?
