Portal Giveth

The good news for Mike Norvell is he’s been able to replace those lesser talented players with guys from the transfer portal who have made an impact.

  • Jashaun Corbin: All-ACC Third Team
  • Fabien Lovett: All-ACC Honorable Mention
  • Devontay Love-Taylor: All-ACC Honorable Mention
  • Dillon Gibbons: All-ACC Honorable Mention
  • Jammie Robinson: All-ACC First Team
  • Jermaine Johnson: All-ACC First Team (Defensive Player of the Year
  • Keir Thomas: All-ACC Third Team

They have some other guys from the transfer portal who have been solid contributors as well. The addition of quality players like this is one reason why we saw FSU football close the significant gap on the field from the previous three years.

It’s why they’ve attacked and likely will continue to attack the transfer portal for a few more additional players to add to the 2022 recruiting class. Will players like Jared Verse, Mycah Pittman, Johnny Wilson, Kayden Lyles, Bless Harris, Tatum Bethune, Trey Benson, and others pan out as well as the last couple of recruiting cycles in the portal? I’m not sure, but several of these guys look like they’ll be contributors at the very least.
