Greedy Vance

Another smaller defensive back that fits the bill is Greedy Vance, a transfer from Louisville who enrolled this spring. His play at Louisville was up and down, but he started for Louisville in 2021 and tallied 36 tackles, seven passes defended, and one fumble recovery.

He lists at 5’11” and 171 pounds and seems to be flashing at spring practice. He has a dawg mentality, and his practice battles with FSU wide receiver Ontaria Wilson have already taken a life of their own. A lot of people questioned this take from the transfer portal, but Vance could prove to be a valuable piece if he can find consistency.

Renardo Green

Perhaps no one could benefit more from Jarvis Brownlee leaving than Renardo Green. The redshirt junior defensive back has battled injuries much of his time at FSU football, as well as switching between cornerback and safety.

He lists at 6’0″ and 187 pounds and has been one of the bright spots of spring practice for a guy that some thought might take the Jarvis Brownlee route of entering the transfer portal. He appeared in nine games last season, mostly in the first four, with a season-high five tackles against Louisville.
